A Friday night at Corrigan Oil Speedway will usually bring hours of racing action. On this evening, it was MAA cage fighting brought to you by Capital City Cage Fight Championships, and Ron DeLeon Promotions.
To start the evening, a 20 lap race with the Corrigan Oil Claimers on modified race course, also known as the “Roval”. Patience Degg paced the field to the drop of the green flag, but TJ Hurell quickly took the lead with Jason Davis taking over second. On lap three, Davis would get past Hurell to take the point as Joey Wirt moved in to third. With the laps clicking off, Davis slowly pulled away as Hurell and Wirt battled for second. With two laps to go, Hurell developed a flat left front tire and Wirt was able to take over second. At the finish, Davis took the win followed by Wirt, Hurell, Bobby Prather and Chris Reid.
Up next at Corrigan Oil Speedway is Slugfest #5 on Sunday, August 4th. Late model sportsman, modifieds, street stocks, claimers, Bandoleros and an enduro figure 8. For more information, log on to the official Corrigan Oil Speedway website at www.corriganoilspeedway.com
