Cold temperatures, and lots of rain have been the story in the state of Michigan so far this year, but Corrigan Oil Speedway was able to get a second night of racing in the books. In the season debut of the Late Model Sportsman division, Dane Long picked up the win. Tim Lahar grabbed the street stock win while Jason Davis took the Corrigan Claimers. In the Michigan Legends, Greg Rudzik picked up the feature victory, while Mason Surgener and Killian McMann won the Bandolero events.
The Parts Place Napa Bandoleros take to the track for the first time this racing season with Hunter Hath leading the Junior Bandits to the green flag. Joel Smith leads the first lap as Killian McMann quickly takes over second. On a lap five restart, McMann takes the lead from the outside. Logan Long takes over third and challenges Hath for second. At the finish, McMann takes the win followed by Smith and Long. In the bandit division, Mason Surgener took then lead at the drop of the green and led all 12 laps. Caiden Bailey was second.
Aaron Hurst gets the early jump in the Sawyers Chevrolet Michigan Legends 25 lap feature. Greg Rudzik takes over second on lap two, as caution waves. On the lap two restart, Rudzik takes the lead as Rich Michalak takes over second one lap later. The remaining laps clicked off with Rudzik slowly pulling away and taking the win. Michalak was second with Hurst in third.
The Boss Snow Equipment Late Model Sportsman began their 30-lap feature with Tim Lahar taking the early lead. Lex Jarecki fell in to second as Dane Long quickly moved up to third on lap two. On lap five, Long takes over second and begins to chase down Lahar. On lap 10, Long caught Lahar and began a battle for the lead. The lead duo split a lapped car on lap 13, as Long noses ahead on the outside. Two laps later, Long secures the lead, and begins to pull away. Troy Andrews took over third at the half way point. With ten laps to go, Lahar caught back up to Long in lapped traffic. The final five laps had Long pull away and take the win. Lahar was second but Andrews was close behind in third.
Tim Lahar used the outside to take the early lead in the Performance Automotive Northwest Street Stocks. Nate Jenkins holds on for second with Dale Lewis in third. Caution on lap six as Lewis and Jenkins get together. On the restart, Lewis gets under Jenkins to take over second and is able to keep pace with Lahar in the lead. With ten laps top go, Lewis looks to the outside of Lahar for the lead. At the finish, Lahar proved to be too strong and takes the win. Lewis is second with Jenkins in third. The final feature of the evening, Jason Davis leads all 15 laps in the Corrigan Oil Claimer division to take the win. Chris Reid is second.
