The final night of the 2018 racing season kicks off at Corrigan Oil Speedway with a night of destruction. School bus figure 8’s, plus several other destruction events were on the card. With cool weather setting in, fans packed the grandstands to witness the carnage.

The Boss Snow Equipment Pony Stocks had Jimmy Burchett lead the field to the green flag. Burchett paced the field through the early laps as Brian Beckner is able to sneak by for the lead on lap five. Randy Kretzinger Jr follows in to second with Ryan Hollister in third. On lap seven, Beckner shows a bunch of smoke heading in turn one and spins out. Kretzinger appears to get in some fluid and makes contact with the turn one wall. On the restart, Hollister takes command with DJ Marciniak close behind. With the laps winding down, Hollister pulls away to win the outlaw main event. DJ Marciniak is second with Beckner in third. In the stock class, Robert Cartwright takes his first win of the year followed by Wayne Parkhurst II and Mark Goebel.

The powder puff figure 8 event would go for five laps. Debbie Parkhurst led the opening laps, but contact with Jody Davis at the half way mark handed the lead to Kathy Hurrell. Hurrell held on for the win while Parkhurst and Jody Davis were the top three. In the oval powder puff, Jody Davis quickly jumped to the lead and led the distance to take the win. Shelby Taylor and Tara Zandi were the top three.

The 8-cylinder flagpole race started with Wayne Parkhurst Sr jumping out to a quick lead.  TJ Hurrell takes over as Parkhurst Sr makes contact with a slower car. When Hurrell entered lapped traffic, Parkhurst Sr is able to catch back up. With two laps to go, Hurrell catches a break as Parkhurst Sr and Lonnie Hedger make contact while racing for second. At the finish, Hurrell takes the win, followed by Parkhurst Sr and John Davis taking third. In the 4-cylinder version, John Ward Sr led lap one with Jody Davis close behind in second. Ward Sr pulled away from the field, and took the win followed by Davis, and Patience Degg.

Brian Beckner led the opening laps of the school bus figure 8 event. Parkhurst Sr took over second on lap four, with Parkhurst Jr close behind in third. With five to go, Beckner had to slow in the intersection allowing both Parkhurst to catch as the trio raced three wide. As the three raced to complete lap nine, Sr and Jr make contact, with Sr spinning out, and then almost tipping over Jr bringing out the red flag. This allowed Beckner to increase his lead as the field went back green. With two laps to go, Chris Taylor gets past Parkhurst Sr for second, and quickly closes in on Beckner. With one lap left, Taylor spins Beckner to take the lead. Taylor holds on for the final lap to take the win, followed by Brian Beckner and TJ Hurrell.

The final event of the 2018 racing season is the trailer figure 8. John Davis grabbed the early lead, and quickly pulls away. Wayne Parkhurst Sr takes the lead on lap 3, as Davis loses his trailer. TJ Hurrell inherits second, and quickly puts pressure on Parkhurst Sr for the lead. With ten laps in, TJ Hurrell gets past Parkhurst Sr, and quickly pulls away. At the finish, Hurrell takes the win followed by Parkhurst Sr and Matt Sairls.
