You do know Patrick that if people wanna watch the live video and IM you that you have to approve everyone to be added as a contact. Just a thought.... _________________ ~~~~Steve "Big Daddy" Orta~~~~

I turned that to automatic after I needed to add you so that shouldn't have needed it.
By the way.. thank you for the great feedback and helping us, sorry we never quite got the audio right, but the video worked good.
We'll get better. |

Following up on Todd's post... I worked with Verwayne to get rid of all the bugs in the system and we did a trial run and it worked great.
The Stream will start at 6:30pm SHARP with a short selection of race related music, followed by pre-race talk, driver introductions, and National Anthem.
Racing starts at 7:30pm. |

Patrick... not sure how many calls you got but a quick check of the server log shows me you had about 119 listeners about 8PM or so. Not bad for a first time attempt and no advance warning. I'll add Spartan to the list and give them their own player as well.
| thanks Verwayne.. we did really well till intermission.. at Intermission we tried to adjust some settings and lost the feed till just before the end of the race. We got it back, silly mistake.. but things will be even better next week. |

| How is this going to affect attendance at the tracks? Internet vs. paid admission. |

| this was the same discussion that nascar had fifty years ago when started doing radio broadcasts I belive it will be good for the track if someone who hasen't been to the track can listen to the races and it could make them want to go the next week to see the races in person |

| That may work for NASCAR where tickets prices are so far out of reach for the everyday working man (or woman), but Spartan's sister track operates on the basis of front gate take=driver payout. Internet listeners=no front gate admission=smaller payout for drivers. A winning situation? I think not. |
