yes they are legal!! just remember that it has to weight the minimum weight that the track calls for. I believe that would be 2350.
If you want to race a saturn and havent built your car yet, get ahold of me (PM Me) and I can put you in touch with a guy that is possibly going to sell his saturn race car. so far in 2007 it is undefeated, 4 out of 4 events. This car was built for flat rock and has only raced there two times.

Jerry,
Didn't Randy get beat at Owosso last month? (Unless I'm remembering the results wrong)
Also, this car is a stick shift, unless it's been changed since it raced at Springport. We allowed it that day because it was an Open Invitational.

Maurice,
randy did not get beat. the car that was winning (darren bone) broke and that gave randy the win.
all that would need to be done to this saturn (to make it legal at springport and spartan) would be the installation of the automatic transmission. not much if you ask me.

| Seems to me that strickly by the rules no, it says like engine to like model year.. but I think that some folks are doing it. So I'd ask Maurice/Chuck/John to make an official ruling on that before you do it. |

You can swap different year engines as long as they are essentially the same thing.

They did sell the sc1 and 2 but if you have to go from a manual to and auto there is more work with a new harrness and lines. When you get ready for the engine build let me know and can work with you on some things we found out.Just make sure you get a good chassis and make sure its stiff.

do you guys add lead to the cars to get to that minimum wt?
The last saturn I built and sold was 1700 with the spare tires in it.

The saturns Ive built and sold are all fast, but the front ends bend really easy. |
