Just a quick note for those who may be pondering what to do this weekend. The Basement Dawgs will be playing out at The Barn Tavern in Grand Ledge both Friday and Saturday night. Come on out and show your support to a fellow racer and his band, he sure would appreciate it. |

That's odd, somehow Matt got a big plug on the main page at springportmotorspeedway.com!
Have fun this weekend, Matt.

Speaking of bands, the Second Annual Homegrown Throwdown at the Rock Spot concluded last night. The winner was the Eaton Rapids Band, "Forgotten Forgiveness" (My son J.T. is the bass player). Congrats to the band. _________________ Thanks

My wife and I went to the Barn Saturday night, stayed thru the first set and had a great time. The place was busy and we saw some fellow racers.
Lack-o-Diesel and his wife Shawn along some of his pit crew were there, as well as Dane Long and some friends.
Great job Basement Dawg's.

Tell the band, awesome job Matt. As usual you guys sounded great. We made it through most of the second set. Then it was off to bed, Like I'm getting old or something.
Well either it way it was a party, and worth while one at that. Oh and Happy Birthday to those that I forgot. |

All,
Many thinks, I will pass the word along to the rest of the band. It was indeed a lot of fun that night, and it was good to see the racers and all that were there.
The "Dawgs" will be back at the Barn Tavern April 20 and 21, followed by April 27 and 28 at Onondaga Tavern (OT's) in my hometown.
Yes, I now it is opening night at Spartan, and I am hoping that the mod's will be able to run their feature first that night. (please?)
That way, I can run the feature and then run to Onodaga Tavern and still make it to the mic by 9:30.
Somehow, I gotta do something about this Friday night stuff interfering with my racing! Thankfully, the rest of the guys are sympathetic and are supportive of my efforts to keep our summertime gigs to Saturday's.
How 'bout this?
If you win the feature for your class April 27th, c'mon out to the OT's and I will buy ya a beer or two!
Good luck to us all with racing right around the corner! Can't wait.
have a good day,

Better yet Matt, what a great place to go after the races at Springport on Saturday. Just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the track.
I know I may just have to stop by on my way home and check out a set or two!!!

Perry,
Now that all depends on whether the Lack-o-diesel crew would be there also. God only knows all the different "sets" that could be there for entertainment purposes then!!!!!!
Are you up for a couple SETS, Perry??? LOL
I know Dave and Eldora would be!!!!!
