I have been coming to spartan for years. My parents used to bring me as a child. My husband has raced in the past and my son does now. It is great family entertainment close to home. We bring friends with us. We pay for tickets, food, programs and random items from photography and I'd hate to stop all that. We are not happy over recent events like the 14 pony stock car, who got a speeding ticket last Fri which I understand the speeding rule and why. I'm NOT against it at all. Then we later find out he wasn't speeding and shouldn't have been put to the back. He has worked really hard as a rookie, on his car, his driving ,and he is a CLEAN driver. He has been getting a little faster and leading some laps over the past few weeks including the last Sunday show where he led 17 laps. I'd hate to see this deter him from wanting to race he really does enjoy everything that goes into it (even the long hot days and working on the car)and looks forward to fridays!!!! Maybe he could of got his first win or maybe not but we will never know. We were not even mad when he got the speeding ticket and had to go to the back. We were like wow look at him go!!! Cam was excited that he was leading and had some car lenghts on the other cars and he wasn't mad either. I know a win would have been better, but we couldn't get the smile off his face all weekend telling everyone who wasn't there the story! So then today to find out he wasn't actually .25 over his time and shouldn't have went to the back, then to read that spartan said he scratched his time to 17. ....when he DIDN'T (it was a different pony stock) that set him back and upset him. He is in the garage now working on his car making sure all is good for friday and he will be fine!!!!! GO CAM 14!!! You can do it!!! Hurry up Friday!!!!
