Northwest Community Schools driver Kathy Miller and East Lansing Schools driver Tammy Beckner will try their luck at School Bus Figure 8 racing during the “Night of Destruction” this Friday, September 9 th. at Spartan Speedway in Mason, Michigan.
Miller, a 20 year veteran of wheeling the busses on the roads of northern Jackson County and Beckner, who has two sons that compete in the Spartan Speedway Pony Stock division, will compete with six other drivers in a 15 lap feature on the Figure 8 course.
The School Bus Figure 8's will highlight the action along with the wild Trailer Figure 8, Skid Plate races, Flag Pole races for both 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders and V-8's combined, Powder Puff Races for the ladies and a Chain race. Open Competition (no rules) Modifieds, Spartan Stocks and Pony Stocks will also be in action on the 1/4 mile oval. Pit gates open at 2 and the main gates open at 5 pm. School bus rides will be given from 6:30 to 7:15 pm and the action begins at 7:30 pm.
