This was quite a popular event but in order to protect the race surface (and grass) we are going to require that each skid plate be secured so that it will not flip.
The best way to do so may be to bring the front and rear of the plate up to the bottom of the body, front and rear.
There will be an inspector checking each skid plate prior to the race. We appreciate all of the work that the competitors do to get the cars ready and don't like creating more work but our first priority must be to protect the racing surface. |

That is an excellent tip, by making the plate curved and pressing against the front and rear of the wheel well, it will not/cannot turn and will help to protect the racing surface. They also need to be curved on the sides to prevent gouging when the car is sliding sideways.
have a good day,
